A new cultural space dedicated to Molière in Pézenas
October 29th 2008, Alain Vogel Singer, Mayor of Pézenas, received in Paris the first price for the contest «Stars of tourism » in the category « Tourism and new technologies » for the creation of the Molière sceno-vision space. This new cultural centre offers 3D movies and sound surround effects so that the visitor feels like living the life of Moliere. It is settled in a former private mansion entirely restored and the sumptuous scenery of each room carries the visitor in the heart of the 17th century.

Enhancement of the heritage of the castle of Lavagnac in the village of Montagnac
The site of Lavagnac is a huge property of 70 hectares with a park and a castle inscribed on the list of the French historic monuments.
The Communauté d’Agglomération Hérault Méditerranée » launched a tourism planning study for this castle. Several ideas were suggested such as the transformation of one part of the castle to organise seminars, and of an other part - to create a four stars hotel. A golf resort could also be integrated in this area where agriculture is declining.
The setting up of a High standard hotel in this part of the territory would be complementary to the type of tourism resort already existing in the littoral.
New bike trails on the territory
The Communauté d’agglomération Hérault Méditerranée is developing the nature activities for its citizens and tourists. It has competency in terms of creation and maintenance of trails for cycling of pedestrian trails.
First a new network of paths in the North offering 242 km of trails spread on 11 villages, and also a network in the south, covering 96 km of trails.
