What’s up in Rennes
Ceremony of citizenship for young voters
2000 young people from Rennes will vote for the first time to the European elections of next June.
A “citizenship ceremony” will be organized for them by the City council of Rennes on Tuesday, April 28th at 17:00 at the Martenot marketplace.
The young people, who will celebrate their 18 between March 1st, 2008 and on June 7th, 2009, will be given their voter cards and a citizen booklet, which points out their principal rights and civic duties and expresses their adhesion to the values of the Republic.
